Turning a new appointment press release into an engaging pr campaign

Digital marketing agency Fusion Unlimited came to me having never done any external PR before. They were having a huge company restructure that saw their current Managing Director step down after over 20 years at the helm.


Finding the story


Kyle, Katie and Craig were stepping up to become joint Managing Directors. In its essence, this was a new appointment press release - which is not particularly engaging. Crafting a compelling press release


The trio had been at the agency since they were placement students at university. I reframed the PR to be about how they have defied the odds in an industry known for high staff turnover. The results I achieved nine pieces of media coverage in local, regional and industry publications including Prolific North, Yorkshire Evening Post, Yorkshire BDaily, Insider Media and the Business Desk.
